History

For over 50 years, the adult leaders of BSA Troop 42 along with parents have been taking young boys and turning them into young men who will become the future leaders of our society. Incoporated in 1951, Troop 42 celebrated it's 50th anniversary in October, 2001. The values we strive to instill and those that each Scout measures himself against are the ideals of scouting, spelled out in the Scout Oath, Law and Motto. The trek to Eagle Scout is alive and well in Troop 42. Our recent history has at least one Scout per year earning his Eagle rank. Over 42 individuals from our Troop carry on the proud Eagle Scout tradition. Our program includes special activities and projects to assist our young men in attaining this goal.
